Since 1997, the Mexican Model Railroaders Society has promoted the celebration of railroad culture. We thank the Laguna Rail Enthusiasts Association for their hospitality in Durango, Durango. We also thank the board members and attendees of the annual meeting for entrusting the *Fundación Ferrocarriles de Baja California, I.A.P.*—for the second time—with organizing the 29th National Convention of Model Railroaders and Rail Enthusiasts in Hermosillo, Sonora: Ferrosonora 2026!

Hermosillo is located just three hours by land from the U.S. border and a three-hour flight from Mexico City. For this reason, we invite California, Arizona, and neighboring regions to join this major event: "United by the Railways" (*Unidos por el Ferrocarril*). Ferrosonora promises to share the stories and impact of how railways shaped Sonora and the surrounding areas, as well as to showcase their representation and future through model trains.

Poster Submissions
Do you have a passion for Railroads? Do you like Railroad History? Are you a Railfan? A Modeler? Want to Participate? The Convention is looking for participants to submit posters to be presented in the exhibit hall! Please contact us to learn more to follow our guidelines
Agenda
The Hermosillo Convention will be held from August 6 to August 10.The agenda is still in the planning phase, but activities will include workshops, modular train layouts, presentations, visit to multiple museums and site locations at Empalme, Guaymas and Benjamin Hill. The Casa de la Cultura de Sonora will host the convestion located at Av Cultura SN-S, Villa de Seris, 83270 Hermosillo, Son., Mexico. South of the Downtown
